pre-holiday slowness

it's not that i haven't had the time to write something - i sit at work most days for 2 or 3 hours with nothing to do - it's just that nothing is going on that i want to write about. or i'll have this thought about something that doesn't make sense to me, and i'll think "i should put that in my blog" and i never do it b/c it's like one sentence. maybe i should write all those things down and compile them into something of substance at some point. right.

it's been a lazy weekend. friday night i had dinner with Larmon and we went to the RimRockers game. there was no one there! if you like basketball....go to the rimrockers games! they need bodies in the stands! it's like 8 bucks for a ticket. and the games are pretty exciting. they were down by like 15 in the 1st half and came back to win by 20.

it was good to see larmon again! i think we catch up like once every three or four months. he's doing well which makes me feel good. i'm so happy he's found some direction in his life. he and i were both like 'what on earth are we going to do now?' when we graduated. i still don't know the answer to that, but i think he has found the path.

yesterday i went to cabot and washed some clothes since we haven't picked our w/d from my aunts house yet. i put mom's christmas tree up and decorated it to the best of my abilities. she didn't have any ornament hangers, so i used all the ones i could find and she said she'd finish the rest when they get back from utah tomorrow. i'm getting more into the christmas spirit now that it's 2 weeks away. i just don't like celebrating it in november (or october!). i got my mom a nice necklace from Red Envelope. and i got phil something. that's about it for the shopping. i need to go to best buy and pick up my dad the Hitchhikers Guide dvd since he requested the books and i should pick up something for carrie. all of that will have to wait until after payday though.

today i've been to walmart already. i have to go early on sundays because i like to beat the churchies...and this time of year, the crazy christmas ladies. it's a pain in the ass to fight all of that traffic just for a jug of milk. i bought food! so maybe i'll stick around and cook some this week. i spend all of my money on eating out. but it's not like i'm going by myself! i go out for lunch with the same people everyday! maybe that should be a resolution for '06. more exercise, less eating out for lunch.

my room is still pretty messy, although there's some organization to my chaos. i need a bookshelf and a desk for my computer. once i get that, it'll feel more like home. the apartment is working out pretty nicely though. i'm happy.

i'm still talking to phil, pretty much everyday. we had the 'what do you want from this' conversation last night, and we discovered we're on the same page. he had a pretty nasty breakup recently, and i'm not really looking to have anything serious with a guy that lives over 2 hrs away. we can still hang out and have fun when we can though! i've convinced him we need to spend new years eve together, so i'm pretty happy with that. i might get to see him next weekend b/c matt and ash are threatening to drag me to ft. smith. would that necessarily be a bad thing?

i guess that's a good summary. this week i have the company christmas party tuesday night and like i said, i may end up in ft. smith saturday night for a bit. and it's payday week! woo!

i have an amazon wish list if you insist on buying me a christmas present. hehe. i think my email for that is starchica0@hotmail.com. haha!
