something funny

i went to Jacksonville this morning to go to walmart. i had a bunch of random things to get and sometimes it's just easier to make one stop than 3, which is what i was thinking if i stayed in WLR and did the shopping. plus at the walmart in Jax they have the self-checkout lanes so i don't even have to talk to anyone. how sweet is that?

so on my way home, i come around the curve where 67-167 merges onto I-40 (for those people not living in the little rock vicinity i know you have no clue what i'm talking about, but anyone in central ark knows!) and there's like 4 cars pulled over by 3 state troopers. they were like euro-ed neons and hondas and stuff. obviously they had been racing b/c those cops had all the kids out of their cars and standing on the side of the road. (i know they were racing b/c where else are you going to see three troopers together at 9:00 on a saturday morning?). so yeah that cracked me up. disregard the fact that i was probably going 70 in a 60 when i came around that curve. hehe

something not so funny

i think my fish had a stroke. he's unresponsive most of the time and whenever he swims to the top to eat, he sinks right back down as soon as his little fins stop flapping. and when i walk by i catch him in the strangest positions. like right now he's vertical instead of horizontal. and earlier i found him upside down? but when i tapped on the bowl, he flipped over and swam a circle and then sank back to the bottom.

should i just flush the poor thing and put it out of it's misery? is he really going to die soon? i'd hate to kill my fish when he's not even going to die. he's just handicapped. i don't know what to do.

something yummy

i got some godiva ice cream. hehe. it was cheaper than the ben and jerry's! i just have to force myself into waiting at least until afternoon before i try it. i hope it's as good as it sounds.

i also got some sourdough bread. one of the guys at work--his wife--is retired and now cooks, and she made me some pesto! so i was trying to figure out what i could put my pesto on besides ritz crackers. and well sourdough sounds interesting. i love the two separate, so why not together? if not, i'm ordering pizza tonight and that pesto would be good on the crust. we'll see.

now i'm super hungry.
